Caribico is a service operated by Tropicab (“Tropicab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use the Caribico mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

  • Customers/Users who browse, place orders, request deliveries, upload prescriptions, or rent vehicles through Caribico

Pharmacy & Prescription Uploads (Sensitive)

 

  • Prescription images/files you upload

A. With Vendors (Merchants/Providers)

 

 

When you place an order or request a service, we share relevant information with the vendor/provider, such as:

 

  • Your name and contact details (as needed)

  • Order details and delivery instructions

  • Delivery address

  • Any notes required to fulfill your request

    For pharmacy orders, we share prescription uploads and required details with the pharmacy you select (or the pharmacy fulfilling the request).

 

 

 

B. With Drivers/Delivery Partners

 

 

For deliveries/courier requests, we share:

 

  • Pickup and drop-off details

  • Your name and contact details (as needed for coordination)

  • Delivery instructions and order status

 

 

 

C. With Payment Processors

 

 

Card payments are handled by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe or similar providers). Payment processors receive the information needed to process payments and prevent fraud. Caribico does not store full card numbers.

 

 

D. With Service Providers (Vendors Supporting Our Operations)

 

 

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us run the platform, such as:

 

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers

  • Analytics providers

  • Customer support tools

  • SMS/communications providers

    These providers are authorized to use information only to provide services to us.

5) Prescription Uploads and Sensitive Health Information

 

 

Prescription uploads and pharmacy-related information may be sensitive. We:

 

  • Collect prescription uploads only to enable pharmacy fulfillment

  • Share prescription uploads only with the pharmacy (or pharmacy provider) needed to complete your request

  • Limit internal access to authorized personnel who require access for support, security, or compliance

  • Take additional precautions to protect this information where feasible

 

 

Important: Caribico is not a healthcare provider. Pharmacy services are provided by independent pharmacies.

 


 

 

6) Data Retention

 

 

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

 

  • Provide the Platform and maintain accounts

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

  • Maintain security and prevent fraud

 

 

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information (e.g., order history, communications, verification logs). Prescription-related uploads may be retained only as needed for fulfillment, support, compliance, and dispute resolution, subject to applicable requirements.

 


 

 

7) Security

 

 

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access.

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may be able to:

 

  • Access, correct, or update your account information

  • Request deletion of certain information (subject to legal and operational requirements)

  • Opt out of certain non-essential communications

    SMS: You may have the ability to opt out of promotional SMS (if offered). However, operational SMS (verification, order updates, security notices) may be necessary for core functionality.

Caribico is not intended for unsupervised use by children. If minors are permitted to use parts of the platform, it must be with parental/guardian consent where required. Caribico operates in St. Lucia and may use service providers that process data in other countries.
